A Proven Campaigner
Andra Hoffman has been elected to the Los Angeles Community College District Board of Trustees three times with a total of nearly 2 million votes.
- Andra's total of 887,245 votes for re-election in 2020 was the highest total of any candidate in the history of the district. One of four candidates endorsed by AFT College Guild, Local 1521, Andra amassed 51.5% of the votes against seven opponents, an almost impossible achievement. She won 200,000 more votes than any other Guild-backed candidate on the same ballot.
- Andra won re-election again in 2024. She eclipsed her 2020 vote total by scoring 918,796 votes – 61.2% of the ballots – against three opponents.
- Andra was first elected to the Los Angeles Community College District Board of Trustees in 2015. With a budget of $55,000, she scored a major upset over an opponent who was part of an $850,000 campaign.
